First, Abby had her end of the year swim party for preschool. They had so much fun. I am so sad for her when we move. She has the cutest little friends and if she doesn't miss them (which I know she will) then I will. I hope she can find some new friends just as cute (which is going to be hard because they are the best).
We had a fun ice cream party at the church. The kids made their own ice cream. Abby had lots of fun just because all of her friends were there. Her and Adam eating their ice cream and chit chatting in this picture. She hasn't seen him as much now that I am not working and she isn't over there while I work. I think she is having withdrawls.
We got a membership at YMCA this summer and it has been so much fun. I have been working out (well sort of) and we have gone swimming a few times. Abby loves the swimming and has now gotten used to the daycare area while I work out. Of coarse it is just in time for us to move that she gets used to it. The pool is a beach type where you can just walk into it as it gets deeper. Along with all the water toys for the kids. She has a lot of fun.
Chase is a trooper. He let me get him all dressed up in his swim stuff. I think I wore him out getting him ready because then he just fell asleep in my arms swimming.
Abby had just eaten a chocolate chip cookie as you can see it all over her face.

We had a great Father's day. Abby went to home depot days and made Ashton a boat. We went to Michaels and picked out a color of paint so she could paint it for him. She was so proud. She just kept saying I have to keep it a secret. But when Ashton got home she said, "dad I have a secret." So then of coarse Ashton asks her what it is. She then said, "IT'S A BOAT!" I had to laugh. I don't think she quite understands what a secret is.

So our next adventure was our super long trip. First we went to St. George and stayed a couple nights there. After that we headed up to Salt Lake. Our friend Andre' was married in the Bountiful temple. We stayed the night at a hotel and Abby was very excited that Grandma Debbie was there and slept in her bed with her. She hung out with Grandma outside the temple while Ashton and I went in. While we were waiting to go in we were talking about the temple to Abby and what we were going inside for. She said she wanted to be married in the temple and that she wanted to marry mom. I told her she sure could be married in the temple, but that she couldn't marry me. She needs to marry a boy. So then she said, "okay, I want to marry Adam in the temple." It was so cute. Again, she is going to miss him.
After the temple we went to play and left dad for a week and half. Abby was sad. She missed him from the time we left him. She asked for him every night when I was tucking her in. She loves her dad!! Our next stop was a little bit a backtracking but well worth it. I am sure everyone knows where I am talking about just by this one picture.
The famous lion drinking fountain at Hogle Zoo. If you have been there before you never forget it. Abby has been to Hogle Zoo one other time, but she was just bairly one year old so I don't think she remembers it, but she does remember San Diego Zoo. Because she remembered the San Diego Zoo, she kept asking when we were going to be at the Jungle. Hogle Zoo doesn't quite compare, but she still had a lot of fun.
It was a very hot day, and one of the first really hot days up there from what I heard. I kept hearing from my family how it just kept snowing, but from the looks of this day I would have thought they were lying to me all along just to make me feel bad for them. Since I have last been to the zoo they have put in a carousel with different zoo animals. I think it was probably Abby's favorite part. She would ride one of those things all day if I let her. After the zoo we made the rest of the drive to my parents house. Just like most of the trip there, Chase cried from Bountiful to Brigham City. He doesn't like the car much.
Our next stop was Bear Lake. We spent the weekend at my parents house and then headed on up to the lake where the weather was AWESOME!!! Abby had so much fun even though she ended up sick for two of the days. You would have never known because she still wanted to play. I am not sure what her favorite part was because she loved it all. The miniature golf, swimming, the beach, craft "actibities" as Abby called them, playing tennis, and riding the wave runners "Little boat." Abby hates loud noises so I was trying to talk up the wave runners. I told her we would go really slow and she would like it so she was so good to try it. She liked it, but held her hands over her ears the whole time. When playing golf she didn't want to use the club. She would use her hand and hit or kick the ball into the hole. She is getting so good with her swimming I am so proud of her. She used to have a tube around her and her floaties on her arms. She has now graduated to swimming with her floaties and doesn't want any help. She does awesome! We went to pickleville playhouse and saw a great show (at least the part I saw). Abby loved it, but Chase did not so much. He did so good the first half, but after intermission wanted nothing to do with it so we walked around outside and got eaten by mosquitoes instead. That was a lot more fun :( I am sure the end was great. Leave it to TJ and the Davis/Larson family to put on a good show. I can't wait for the Christmas show again.
This year at Bear Lake was bitter sweet. Abby was old enough to have the time of her life, but she will not be going back. The time share for our condo told us we can no longer go to Bear Lake. I only hope to find somewhere for Abby to have the memories I have from going to Bear Lake every year since I was a fetus.

Chase loved to float. We went out on the lake for at least and hour and he slept. There is nothing more relaxing than the waves of the lake.
This is the way that I golfed every time we went. I strapped Chase to my stomach and he would fall asleep just as we got started. He can get really heavy after 18 holes.
We will miss Bear Lake. Summer just wont be the same!!
Our next adventure was Grandpa Brad wanted to take Abby fishing for her first time. She loved it. I think if she really knew what was going on then she wouldn't have. When the fish would flop all over the ground she thought it was laughing. I didn't have the heart to tell her why it was really flopping all over. The pond we went to was a friend of the families private pond. He planted a bunch of fish and there is now like 1000 in there. He has fish food and a paddle boat. If you go out on the boat and throw food to the fish so many come up that you get slashed like crazy. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Grandpa!!!
Chase loves to smile and talk to us. This video shows his smiling and not so much of talking. I am working on getting it on video and haven't yet. Usually all you have to do is look at him or talk to him and he smiles. In this video we decided to "beat" it out of him. He may have shaken baby syndrome after this.
FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVITIES
We had fun and VERY HOT fourth! We spent the whole day starting with the night before with our good friends Brett and Katie. We spent the night at their house because the pancake breakfast the next morning at 7 am was a little too early to drive from our house. It was in Boulder City. I love it out there. It feels a little more like home. After the pancake breakfast we went to the parade that was almost too hot to handle and it was only 9 am. After, we had to find some relief from the heat so we took lunch back to Brett and Katie's house. The kids all had naps and we headed back out in the heat for the Boulder City fireworks. For a smaller town they were awesome. Even for a big town they were awesome. We were very impressed!
Abby was enjoying her very first sugar daddy, while Chase was just chillin' watching the parade.
We tried to beat the heat with Abby's squirt gun that some float threw at the parade, but it didn't help much.
Ashton was a trooper. Not only is Chase heavy, but it was not exactly cool outside so his sweaty body up next to your own was not pleasant. I got too tired and Ashton willingly took him.

Abby loved the sparkelers. Can you see her red cheeks??? It is like 9:00 and we were still dying of heat. When we got back into our car AFTER the fireworks it was still around 100 degrees.
Abby, like everything else, thought they were too loud. She covered her ears the whole time. Despite the noise she still loved them.
I hope you all enjoy this extremely long update because I think it will be the last for a while. We are right in the middle of moving so I know I will not get around to it. We will be in our new home in St. George by the 1st of August. If you do not see anything from me until the second week or so in August don't be surprised!!! We love summer but man it's busy!
