A Weekend We Will Always Remember

We had lots of family in town this weekend for two very memorable and special events. My wonderful and hard working husband graduated from dental school. I am so proud of him. It has been four very long years for him. He has worked very hard to get where he is. He is now working on interviews and hopefully in the next week or two we will know where we are going to be. Until he gets his license he is working at the Dental school teaching the new students coming in this year and the second years. He is enjoying it because he feels like he is still learning without the pressure of what is going to be on the test.

The next event was Chase's blessing. We decided to bless him in our home since everyone was in town. It was such a nice little group of people. I enjoyed having it here at the house. Ashton gave him a beautiful blessing and he slept through the whole thing like a good little boy. My only worry was that his clothes wouldn't fit. Good thing he had a sweater vest over his shirt because the shirt was skin tight and looked a little small.

It was fun to have so much family here to support Ashton and for the blessing. They all had to travel far so it means a lot to have them come. My Grandma McKnight and Grandma Carolyn were both able to come. It was Grandma McKnights first time to Vegas so we tried to show her a good time. We took her down to the Belagio to see the water show that wasn't running, the gardens that were being changed, and the moving statues at Ceasears that were temporarity not working. So we didn't get to show her much but we had a good lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Abby was excited to go to FAO Swartz and play on the big piano. You feel just like you are in the movie big and can't resist playing chopsticks.

It was such a fun weekend. We are very blessed to have the family and friends that we do!!!
